Posy is nineteen years old and has spent her entire life at The Falling Leaves Farm.
The farm has been in her family for generations and is now run by her father. Her mother left when Posy was still very young, and although she rarely speaks about it, the farm has always been the place where she feels most at home.
Her mind is always dreaming, imagining, creating stories far beyond the fences that surround the fields. So she writes.
Lately, though, life hasn't been easy. A large commercial farm has opened nearby, offering the same produce at lower prices and threatening everything her family has worked so hard to build. Deep down, she knows they can't keep going like this forever.
They've tried everything. Local markets. New recipes. Fresh ideas. But somehow, it never seems to be enough. Then comes one stormy autumn night. The night Posy sits down to write another letter. The night lightning strikes the old barn. The night everything changes.

A large commercial farm has opened nearby, selling the very same produce for a fraction of the price. As customers slowly disappear, the future of her family's little farm begins to look uncertain.
Then, on a stormy autumn night, everything changes.
